The loss is not just physical but emotional, a reminder of how fragile life and stability can be. My heart is heavy with sadness as all I can do is sit and watch these devastating fires rip through communities. A home is so much more than walls and a roof. It’s one’s sanctuary. To see it all taken away by something so uncontrollable and devastating is deeply heartbreaking.
Happy Little Mother is a mighty community, and we were built to join forces and help. In a moment of gathering what I know to do, @_cultureapparel_ and I have swiftly created a MOTHER TRUCKER to help give back.
We will take 60% of the proceeds with every hat sold and drop it into the @baby2baby fundraiser. Baby2Baby has already distributed one million emergency supplies for the most vulnerable children and families who have lost everything including diapers, food, formula, water, clothing, blankets and hygiene products. Their team is working around the clock with our 470 partner organizations in LA County spanning schools, homeless shelters and resource centers, and will continue to fulfill requests for essential items for the weeks and months to come.
